Although there was no room at the inn for Mary and Joseph, grace was abound as a compassionate innkeeper offered a humble stable for the young couple to bear their son, our Savior.
Over 2000 years later, and under much different circumstances, unique shelters like Strong Foundation Ministries offer the same compassion to scores of homeless families with children. Mind you, it's not a stable that is offered, but a modest dwelling where "you and your family matter to God," a simple message that homeless families with children need to hear and understand. That same message is also printed on the sign in front of Strong Foundation Ministries at 414 North Hackberry Street in San Antonio.
